Kofi Boateng, PLC Chief Financial Officer

Since 1992, Mr. Boateng has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Progressive Life Center, Inc. (PLC) – one of the mid-Atlantic’s largest and most respected nonprofit agencies serving vulnerable children and families. PLC is recognized for its pioneering work in developing culturally responsive approaches to mental health and child and family development. As CFO, Mr. Boateng provides strategic financial leadership for the agency’s 100+ employees based in Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

In February 2022, our previous President/CEO retired and since then, Mr. Boateng has served as Interim President/CEO and will continue to serve until the position is filled.

Mr. Boateng is affiliated with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Greater Washington Institute of Certified Public Accountants, State of Maryland Board of Public Accountancy and Ghana Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mr. Boateng was awarded the Bronze Medal for obtaining the 3rd highest score in the November 1988 AICPA’s Uniform Examinations by the Greater Washington Institute of CPAs (GWICPA) .
