Shakiera D. Scott
Pennsylvania Foster Care Services Program Director, Progressive Life Center

Shakiera D. Scott serves as Foster Care Services Program Director for PLC in Philadelphia, where she provides leadership and oversight for foster care and resource home services. Since joining PLC in 2015, she has advanced through multiple positions, beginning as a Foster Care and Resource Home Case Manager and progressing through supervisory roles to become Program Director in 2023. Her experience encompasses direct service, staff development, program administration, and collaboration with community partners to support children, youth, and families.

Shakiera brings more than a decade of experience in child welfare, behavioral health, and youth services. She holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Pennsylvania State University. She is also NTU™ certified. As a panelist for AI & Human Services, Shakiera brings the perspective of a practitioner and organizational leader whose career has been grounded in the relationships, professional judgment, and human connections essential to serving vulnerable children and families.
