Sherilyn Pruitt
Sherilyn Z. Pruitt, MPH is a nationally recognized public health and policy leader with over three decades of federal service advancing health equity, telehealth, workforce development, and health information technology. She recently retired from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she served in the Office of the Secretary, leading cross-agency initiatives focused on advancing health information technology, modernizing public health infrastructure, and improving outcomes for underserved communities.
Over the course of her distinguished career, Sherilyn held senior leadership roles across HHS, including within the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), where she directed national programs to expand access to care through telehealth, strengthen rural health systems, and elevate community-centered solutions. She is widely respected for her ability to design and implement high-impact, equity-driven strategies across complex government systems.
Sherilyn holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts from Howard University. She continues to advise and collaborate with organizations committed to equitable, innovative approaches to improving the lives of people in communities across the country.
